The full English name of 3C certification is Chinese compulsory certification, which is translated into Chinese. It is a quality management system of national compulsory certification, and the certification object is products. In the world, there are many kinds of quality management system certification, including food, automobile and medicine. What Is 3C Certification
Why is it called compulsory certification? This is because some products involve human health and safety, animal and plant life and health, environmental protection and public safety. Therefore, the state should carry out compulsory certification for these products. CCC certification is led by the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people’s Republic of China, and the national certification and Accreditation Administration Committee is responsible for the management and organization of the certification system. Authorized certification institutions are responsible for the specific implementation of certification. Usually, there are 2-3 authorized certification institutions for each product.

The authentication objects are different The object of 3C certification is products, while ISO9001, TS16949 and other quality management system certification is the certification of manufacturer’s management mode. In other words, 3C certification is the certification of products. ISO9001, TS16949 and other quality management systems are the certification of the quality management system established by the factory. The factory that passes the certification can say that the factory’s management has passed the quality management system certification, but it can’t say that the factory’s products have passed the quality management system certification.
2. The nature of authentication is different. 3C certification is compulsory, while ISO9001, TS16949 and other quality management systems are voluntary and not enforced by the state.
3. The authentication mode is different The mode of CCC certification is type test + factory quality assurance capability inspection + supervision after certification. The purpose of certification is to meet the quality requirements of the product itself, and pay attention to whether the overall structure and key components of the product are consistent with those during type test. The certification method of ISO9001, TS16949 and other quality management systems is factory quality management system inspection + Post certification supervision. The purpose of certification is to judge whether the factory has established a quality management system that meets the system requirements through the inspection of the factory quality management system.
